Vision to StoryDesign

For therapists and counselors

Websites for therapists, written in your voice.

You already know how to sit with someone in the hardest hour of their week. Your website has a simpler job: help the right person feel, before they ever call, that you might be the one. We build that site around your story, with the details a therapy practice can't get wrong.

What a therapy site has to get right

Eight things we build in from the start.

  1. Clear about fit

Who you help, how you work, what it costs and how to start, in plain language a stressed person can take in at a glance.

  2. A first step that's easy

Online booking for a free consultation, connected to your calendar or your practice software's scheduler.

  3. A crisis line on every page

988 and 911, quietly present wherever someone lands, so the site never leaves a person in crisis without a next step.

  4. Honest about fees

Fees, insurance and superbills explained, with the No Surprises Act Good Faith Estimate notice wherever prices appear.

  5. Forms that protect clients

Contact forms ask for a name and a way to reply, nothing clinical. Intake belongs in your practice software's secure portal.

  6. No solicited testimonials

Professional ethics codes limit asking clients for reviews, so we build trust with your story, your approach and your credentials instead.

  7. Clear about scope

Associate counselors shown as supervised. Coaching and nutrition labeled as what they are, separate from therapy and insurance.

  8. Built to be found

Specialty pages for what you actually treat, in the words people search with, plus Search Console and your Google Business Profile.

See it working

One fictional practice, three sites.

Fernlight Counseling is a practice we invented to show the work: a new solo counselor, the same counselor three years in, and a group practice with a searchable team directory.

Questions from practices

What therapists usually ask.

Does my website need to be HIPAA compliant?

A website that doesn't collect health information isn't handling protected health information, so we keep it that way: forms ask only for contact details, and clinical intake happens in your practice software's secure portal.

Can you connect my practice software?

Most scheduling tools can be linked or embedded, including the booking pages built into common practice-management systems. We'll check yours on the story call.

Do you work with group practices?

Yes. Signature covers a group site of up to eight pages, including a searchable team directory so clients can filter by concern, insurance and format.

I'm an associate counselor. Is Essential right for me?

Often, yes. A clear one-page site is plenty to start, and it can grow into Signature when you're fully licensed.
